The other big thing this week was that we went to see the tulips! The kids were really excited about the tulips. In fact, when we got there, Jacy said "I'm so EXCITED to see the TULIPS!" Than she started her "I'm so excited!" song (the words are 'I'm so excited, I'm so excited' with her singing and dancing). Luke was really excited about getting his picture taken with the tulips (we told him that might happen) and he was very insistent on taking lots of pictures. So he took the phone and went crazy! He even had us pose for a picture and framed the shot and moved us where he wanted us.
Luke went on his first school field trip this week! He went to the zoo with his class and he had a blast. He said he liked seeing the Sea Otters.
And what would a trip to the tulips be without a stop at Snow Goose produce? The kids really wanted blue ice cream, so they got cotton candy, which happened to color coordinate with their outfits. It was perfect for when Jacy's dribbled all over her shirt! And this year we were more reasonable and got kids sizes for everyone, except for Marinda, who's eating for two so she got a single scoop, which was still too much. Also, Amit's kid size cone was actually so big the weight of it broke his waffle cone. Remember those days when we'd come here and get the double scoop?
Jacy had her first gymnastics/dance class this week, and she loved it! She kept going off about her "shoes that made music" (her tap shoes).
Marinda made an awesome fondue-style snack for the kids this week! The kids loved it, and even asked for more!
This week was school spirit week at Luke's school. Monday was mismatched clothes day. Luke doesn't really have that diverse of a wardrobe, so we asked him if he wanted to wear a sweater vest with his normal clothes. He thought it was hilarious! The next day was twin day, and we had a mini-crisis because he and Liam wanted to dress as twins, but the one Star Wars shirt they had in common was missing! We never did find it, so they both wore Star Wars stuff and were Star Wars twins.
Random stories:
•Jacy sometimes calls for Amit but starts saying Mommy instead of Daddy, so it comes out like 'M'addy'. Is she confused, or just being overly formal?
•Luke has shifted from Minecraft to Sonic Racing, and after trying and trying, he finally won his first grand prix! When he saw his character standing not only on the stand, but at number one, his smile was huge and he just had to run off and tell Marinda (who was completely asleep) about it. One drawback is that when he races he's super-stressed and always looking at his current place, saying things like "This isn't fun! I need to win!" Hopefully next time he'll be a bit more chill.
