Showered with Babies!

This week we've been in Cleveland for Luke's baby shower!  But as going to Cleveland usually is, we spent a lot of time catching up with friends and family before the shower last night.  Basically every night of the week we've been eating dinner with someone, usually at a restaurant we normally wouldn't be able to afford to go to unless someone else was paying :P  On Tuesday we visited our friends Mark and Maya's house, and that night Amit's old childhood friend came over for dinner, then on Wednesday Marinda and her friend Jeanette went out while Amit went on a mommy-son date with his mom.  Thursday we got to have dinner with Steven and his fiancee Ashleigh, following by going out the following night with Marinda's mom, Steven and Ashleigh.  Quite the week!  On top of all that we had to prepare for the baby shower.  Well, really Marinda and Amit's mom prepared for it, and honestly mostly just Amit's mom.  "My mom and Marinda went out to go buy stuff for the event on Wednesday," Amit said.  "I knew I wouldn't be much help so I went to see the Hunger Games instead.  I'm happy with the choice I made."

But the main event of the week was the baby shower last night.  Unlike most baby showers, this was for both men and women.  Mostly so the women could laugh at the men as they subjected them to cruel and unusual party games.  Almost seems like that movie Amit saw during the week doesn't it....anyways, the party was a lot of fun.

Marinda, Amit and Anup (Amit's Brother) all dressed up!

As part of the shower, the Aunties blessed us and shoved sweets in our mouths.
Marinda had a sack of nuts on her lap representing the baby.
So our baby is nuts?  Lol.

We had a cake!  Baby loved it and wanted a slice BEFORE dinner...

Anup (Amit's Brother), Steven (Marinda's Brother) and Amit (Himself) competing
in one of the said silly games.  In this one it was a race to see who could drink all
the soda out of a bottle first.  Steven won - by using physics!  He blew air into the
bottle at the beginning so there was pressure pushing the soda out...  only he would
actually try and come up with a strategy for a game this straight forward!

We played a game where each table was given a picture of each of us.  They
had to cut them up and put together a new face from the pieces of the two of
us.  These are all the entries.  Some of them looked okay, some of them...
let's just say that we really hope Luke doesn't look like any of these.
