Stroller Time!

Well, usually our top journalist Amit is the one writing these entries - hence all the witty humor and cleverness.  However, he sadly got on a plane today and flew away to the far away land of Atlanta - so you're stuck with me!

As usual, many exciting and life changing things happened during the week, but none of them big enough news to write about.  Marinda is continuing to grow bigger and bigger, and a strange phenomenon occurred.  Every night this week she would wake up at 4am on the dot.  No matter when they went to bed or how many other times she would wake up during the night, she found herself having to get up at 4am for an hour or so.  Fortunately, Amit only also woke up a minimal amount...  "I have to make sure he gets plenty of sleep," Marinda is reported as saying.  "He has to sleep so he can work hard so he can buy me ice cream."

On Friday we got to attend a party at our church.  It was purely arranged by the guys, and the result was a very low key potluck with a projector set up showing "Up."  "The food was great, the stress was minimal (along with the set up), and it was nice just to spend a couple of hours hanging out with people."

Saturday was a beautiful day!  And we ended up spending it inside a store.  Which store?  The Babies R Us Superstore!  We were worried about going on a weekend, but we really wanted to go try out some of the strollers Marinda had been looking at on-line.  "It wasn't crazy at all," Marinda said about their experience, "and everyone we talked to was super nice and very knowledgeable."  "It almost felt like there were more workers than customers!"  Amit mentioned afterwards, "and what was up with the guy telling us that if we weren't sure we should go home and do some more research about what other parents are saying instead of pressuring us to buy something - what's their angle?!"

The conclusion?  We're probably getting a stroller a lot like this one (watch the video, it is pretty cool) but there were two brands that were pretty much the same. When the words "freak out, end of the world" came out of Marinda's mouth, we knew we should probably go home and think about it before buying anything.

Well, this should be an interesting week with crazy hormonal Marinda home alone - so if you guys feel any need to keep her company feel free!  She's probably just going to be watching all of the chick flicks she owns...  :)

Have a good week!
