Okay, fine, the only person who actually cares is Cara because all those brand names mean something to her. So what was this week like? Let's start with Marinda's week, from the point of view of Amit:
"As far as I know Marinda was at home all week. I know she puttered around the house a lot and had a couple hard lessons. I'm pretty sure she hung out with her friends a lot and went to yoga on Thursday night. Oh, and she watched my presentation online via Adobe Connect on Thursday morning. Other than that I have no idea what she was doing." Wow, great job keep track of how your pregnant wife's doing Amit.
So what was Amit up to all week. Here is Marinda's summary of what she thinks her husband was up to:
"He woke up early, ate some stuff, sat round listening to people blab about stuff that he had to look interested in, and talked to people trying to be cool and all networky. I know he wore his sports coat on Thursday morning because I saw him (HE DID SO GOOD!!) and I know he went to the Atlanta Temple and DIDN'T get mugged. All I can pretty much say for certain is he was too busy to text me - something about that being rude while people are trying to talk to you or something."
Amit came back on Friday night, and the two have had a tiny bit of time together since then. Yesterday (Saturday) Amit spent a couple hours running the church cleaning in preparation for Stake Conference next weekend and then there was an astronomy Open House in the afternoon. The highlight of the open house was planetarium shows (of which Amit presented 2) and he was assigned as tech support for the rest of the afternoon in case anything went wrong. It was fun, but a lot of work for the day after coming home from a 5 day conference! "They got him all week!" Marinda actually did say (as opposed to most of our quotes) "Then he comes home and they take him away again!" She is simply learning how to be a good supportive wife - a wonderful thing to embark on when you have a giant creature growing on your front and a thousand uncontrollable hormones running through your blood stream.
They had a good night though - with another trip to Babies R Us to compare strollers again and then a super romantic dinner at Azteca (a Mexican Restaurant). After such a long week of being apart, it was so nice to just reconnect. The really great food was a plus as well.

Tune in next week to read about us going to the Tulip festival!
