We've had lots of fun with Jejema and Jejebapa this week! We've gone to the park and the mall and played outside a lot with them. Luke has just gone crazy having two people constantly wanting to play with him, and honestly Amit and Marinda really appreciate the break. They've even been able to go on another date this week! Yay for having parents in town!
Jacy is growing up into such a beautiful little girl. She and Marinda hit the six week mark this Thursday, so now Marinda is officially able to start exercising and building up her core muscles again. Jacy is also working out and is pretty much a pro at lifting up her head. We need to do more tummy time with her, but when we do she just wiggles around like she is figuring out how to crawl. She's more awake now (like 2% of the time!) and is still a big fan of bright lights. She has also started smiling this week! We don't care if it is pass gas or what, because it is pretty ridiculously cute.
Yesterday was our ward's 5k run 2.5k walk. This activity was basically made for our family because Amit's parents are avid walkers (they asked at first if they could walk the 5k instead of the 2.5k) and Amit has been running home from work. Amit even took Luke in the stroller so he could get in on the action. Luke just loved "running the race" and at the end Amit took him out so Luke could run across the finish line all by himself. They ended up coming in last for the runners because Amit was nice enough to walk with an eight year old who was all by himself and couldn't run the entire time. What a sweet guy! Marinda opted to help at home base and had a good time getting to know the other members of the ward and cheering the across the finish line. This was also the first time Marinda has actually felt like she belonged to this ward.
On a final note, the sun is out and it has been a beautiful week. Marinda is definitely loving the large bay windows in her house.
Funny Luke stories:
-While eating dinner tonight Amit put some hot sauce on his rice, and of course Luke wanted some. We put a little drop on his rice and told him to mix it all together. If course he decided to taste the hot sauce straight. He eyes got really big like he had just swallowed fire but all he said was "I think it's still cold."
- Luke has started screaming this week. Not bloody murder screaming, just like he has discovered it is fun to make a loud noise. He and Amit were reading "Goodnight California" this week and it said "the waves along the Big Surf coast can be loud" to which Luke them pipped in and said "I can be loud!" turned his head to the left, and went "Ahhh!" :)
Have a good week!
