Firefighter Pirate Save Princess from Water Spewing Frogs

Our Jacy May is two months old this week!  At her doctor's appoitment she was 10 lbs, 12 oz and 23 inches long!  She is so alert now, and just loves looking you straight in the eye and smiling.  And what a smile!  It looks like it is just going to melt off her face!  She also LOVES it when you sing random little tunes to her while making her hands dance around on her tummy!  What a cutie!

We should make one of those "How are you feeling today charts" for Jacy. This one could be 'quizzical'
Look at that cute hedgehog hair!
Marinda and her mom took Luke to a new park right by their house.  It is called Ivanhoe Park, but we have dubbed it "The Rock Park" for obvious reasons.  It has great rocks to climb on, swings, a play set that doesn't give Marinda a heart attack, and a bunch of trees so there is shade on hot days.

Look at the giant mountain Mommy and Luke climbed together!
Dramatic Mommy/Son picture - Grandma wasn't even looking, this was taken by accident!
Jacy seems unsure about the outside world. What is this sun you speak of?

On Tuesday after her doctor's appointment, Marinda and her Mom met up with Luke, Koonichiwa and the rest of the Singing Class for a tour of a Fire Station!  It was crazy with so many toddlers running around, but Luke loved seeing the Fire Engine and the Ambulance.  He even got to sit in the drivers seat and pretend to drive away.  Then at the end, the class sang the "Hurry Hurry Drive the Firetruck" song for all the Firefighters!

Who's the happiest boy in the world? Luke!
Luke looks he's about to burst with excitement!

Luke could totally be on Daniel Tiger in a couple years for a "what's going on in your neighborhood?" segment.
I don't know what Luke's looking at, but apparently there's something really interesting outside of the Ambulance.
What would a trip to the fire station be without getting a firefighter hat?
After Jacy's doctors's appointment on Thursday, we met up with some friends at U-Village to play on the playground.  But Luke didn't want to play on the playground, he wanted to see the frog fountain, and since he is now big enough to climb over the fence we gave in.  It turned out to be a blast and all the kids had fun and got soaked!

Oh Luke, look what you made all your friends do.
This will be a great picture to show at his graduation or his wedding day
Saturday was a busy day!  It started with a Pirate and Princess party for our friend Penny Foltz.  Marinda had quite the battle getting Luke dressed.  You see, Luke has become the little fashionista lately and will utterly refuse to wear an over shirt, exclaiming "ONE SHIRT AT A TIME!"  But Marinda succeeded, with the help of a cookie bribe.  It was a great party complete with a bouncy trampoline, chocolate muffins and a treasure hunt!

Princess? I have waaaaay more power than a princess. More like Empress.
Look at that cool pirate!
"I don't know why I'm smiling but 'cheese!' Can I go play now?"
Luke found the treasure!
And what would a toddler birthday party be without the ten minute struggle to get them all together for a group shot!

Afterwards we met up with Rachel, a Girl Scout friend from back home who is doing her undergrad at UW, and then had dinner at Britny and Lam's house in our new ward.  It was some of the best pasta sauce we've ever had and the brownie sundaes were to die for.

Funny Luke Stories:
-  Luke had some nightmares this week - all around babies and food.  The first one was him waking up freaking out because "There weren't any bottles!"  Then a few nights later he woke up exclaiming that his "Babies were hungry!  They needed their bottles!"
- Amit was in the middle of making Luke breakfast when Jacy started to cry.  Amit said "I need to feed Jacy" to which Luke responded with "NO!  FEED ME FIRST!"

Hope you all have a great week!  Enjoy the pictures!

What a cute girl!
Photo shoot with grandma!
"Huh?"
There's a little smile....
