Whoof! What a weekend! Monday morning began with breakfast as Lil' Jon's out by the temple where we all got to sample their amazing cinnamon rolls. Then we said our good byes. Everyone left that day except Amit's mom who will continue the ridiculous (but oh so appreciated) amount of help Marinda has been getting since Jacy was born. It has been sooooooo great that Luke and Jacy have gotten to spend so much time with their grandparents! It means so much to us that our children are going to grow up with a relationship with their grandparents even though we live so far apart.

This week for FHE our star family decided to try something fun and new as a family- Food Trucks! Their farmer's market was having a Food Truck event, so they decided it would be fun to try. They got some pretty tasty things, and Luke was so excited that they got dinner out of a truck - even if he wasn't that excited about his mac and cheese with kimchi. :P
Luke's babysitter was going to the zoo this week on the same day she was watching Luke, so she took Luke with her and Marinda and Amit's Mom met up with them there. There wasn't that much time before they needed to head home, but they saw a bunch of rocks, and gorillas, and rocks, and kangeroos, and more rocks! Luke's kind of obsesed with rocks right now...

Marinda had a babyshower this week, this time for Kate (also known as Tessa's Mom). Marinda helped by making some cute little boats as decorations that her friends were saying she could sell on Etsy. That made her feel good. :D It also felt great to see a lot of her old friends again, and nothing can beat a root beer float after a long day with the kids!

Saturday was a full day! It started in the morning with a service project documenting head stones. It is really cool - you use this app from
billiongraves.com and then you take pictures of graves with your smart phone, and it gps tracks everything. Then someone else logs into the website and transcribes the information on the database. Since we don't have smart phones (we know, shocker) we just took our laptops to the church and transcribed. Luke had fun playing with his truck and trailer and Jacy fell asleep, so we actually got quite a bit done. It was fun entering in the names - we even joked about using it as a way to look up names if your stuck trying to figure out what to name your baby. That would be a funny conversation: "So mom, where did you get my name?" "Oh, just some random head stone in Wisconsin."
That afternoon Amit helped a new family move in near our house, and then we all went to UW to pick up Amit's cap and gown for this costume party he's going to next week. That night Amit's mom was nice enough to take us out to dinner! It was to a nice Mexican restaurant where the food was good and Luke had a fun time watching their tortilla maker. The only down side was that they served Luke kraft mac and cheese... this is the third restaurant we've been to that has done that. But besides that, it was really nice to eat some good Mexican food! Thanks Mom!

Check out Jacy's bangles!
They make noise and she wears them on her wrists, sounds like bangles to me! |

Luke Stories:
- Napping is a fight. Every day he actually falls asleep is starting to feel like a victory. And Marinda was victorious about 4 days this week! But even if he doesn't fall asleep, he still has to stay in his room for two hours. Marinda needs her lunch break. The unions say so.
- We were talking about watches, and Marinda made Luke a bunch of clocks out of paper plates showing important times during the day (wake up time, lunch time, when daddy gets home, exc.). At this rate he's going to already know everything by the time he gets to preschool!
- One of the kids was crying in church, so Luke turned to Amit and said "My friend is sad, I need to say a prayer for them to feel better." So he crawled under the bench and said a prayer. We're very impressed just to let you know.
- Luke is becoming a big helper. Yesterday he helped Amit and Amit's mom pull weeds in the front yard and he actually would put them in the yard waste pile. He also kept stealing their tools and getting new ones for them, but hey, let's see if he's this eager to help when he's 15.
- The weather turned beautiful this week, so Marinda, Jacy and Amit's mom hung out on the patio in the shade while Luke played. Part of his play was to go over to the lawn and pick a handful of flowers and bring them back for them. He did this three times, with the third time saying he picked flowers for Jacy and proceeded to drop them on her face. What a nice brother!

Jacy Stories:
- Still sleeping like a champ! A good 8 hours every night! We're tempting fate by putting this in the blog, but yay!
- Jacy has started eating her fingers! She makes the funniest face as she tries to shove her entire fist in her mouth!
- Jacy has started to grab things! On her own! Before Marinda would try and get her to hold onto something (other than fingers) and she would just release, but now she is holding it and moving it around a little!

| Jacy loooooves this toy, just like Luke did three years ago! |
 |
| Jacy's really into those butterflies |
 |
| "I think I need a closer look at these awesome butterflies. What? Is my neck getting tired? No, I just need a closer look" |
 |
| "I'm sorry, this is a private tummy time. No cameras please." |
