Colored Eggs & Pretty Girls

Who's ready for a massive amount of pictures?!?!?!?!

Happy Easter everyone! We celebrated this year by watching our church's General Conference, where we get to listen to modern-day prophets and apostles testify of Jesus Christ and hear their latest teachings for church members.  We'll let you know next week which talks were our favorite.

We also celebrated Easter by dying eggs with Luke (only one cup of dye fell over), having an egg hunt with him and, of course, having the Easter Bunny come and leave him presents!  And maybe a Cadberry Egg or two for Marinda and Amit.....
Happy Easter from the Misras!
What witchcraft is this?!?!
Look at all the colors!
"I want to EAT my Easter Eggs!"
The Easter Egg hunt was a hit!
Oh yeah, the Easter Bunny cashed in.  :)
Even Jacy got a present!
Though how excited she is about it is up for interpretation....
We also hosted our first big fancy dinner!  We had our friends the Bushmans, Houstons and Andersons come over (though we wish our house was big enough to invite all of our friends!) and had a great time with 10 adults, 4 toddlers and 3.5 babies - what a party!

Jacy had her two-week pediatrician appointment on Thursday. She's doing great - she's now 7 lbs 5 oz so she's growing great.  She mostly still does the big three (eat, sleep, poop - will Julia Roberts star in this movie too?) but she is starting to stay awake for bits of time and is making funny faces at us.  She is funny even when she is sleeping because she, well, snores.  Or at least makes funny sounds while she is asleep, like an old squeaky rocking chair.

Fight the Power!
Marinda and Amit are also learning new things.  Jacy is a super laid back baby, but Luke had been a REALLY laid back baby.  So now they are dealing with things like her crying when her diaper is messy, or when she has gas, or just wants to be held.  Not big things, but it took them longer than it should to realize that not every cry was "I'm hungry!"

Jacy's First Restaurant... CHIPOTLE!
She just looks so sassy!  It's hilarious!
On Monday was also Jacy's newborn photo shoot!  They were done by Kamio Photography who Marinda met through Family Student Housing, and she did an amazing job!  Even though Jacy was being uncooperative and Kami and Marinda spent about an hour trying to get her to fall asleep.  She would just wave her arms around like she was at a rock concert.  Kami even tried putting her on her stomach thinking she would stay put, but then she started inching away!  She was only a little over a week old!  Even with all this, Kami did get some amazing pictures!

Funny Luke-isms from this week:
•Amit was fixing something on Jacy's bed and he needed Luke's help to pull something from out under the bed that was propping something up. It was a tight fit so Luke had to struggle a bit. But instead of getting frustrated he kept saying "I can do this! I can do this!" and when he got it out he shouted "I did it!"
•One morning Amit told Luke to just have a few toys out instead of everything. Of course, Luke dumped out all of his blocks and Amit voiced his disapproval. Amit walked away to take care of breakfast, and after a minute Luke said "I'm sorry I dumped my blocks out, daddy" and then sang the "Clean up pick up putaway" song from Daniel Tiger while cleaning up all of his blocks! What a big boy!
•Luke loves singing songs, especially the ones he learns at music time every week. His latest favorites are "The Grand Old Duke of York," and a song that goes like "Every day I eat eat eat, every day I play play play (etc.)"

At the play area at the mall

It started to hail and Marinda was trying to give him a science lesson.
It lasted, oh, about 7 seconds before Luke lost interest.
At dinner, trying to use chop sticks like Mommy and Daddy!

HAPPY EASTER!!!
