T-Minus 4 Months!

Keeping cool in the summer heat!

Marinda has sworn that she would not document potty training Luke, in hopes to save him from embarrassment when he gets to high school if someone was to find this blog, but there was a particularly funny moment this week.  Marinda was trying to explain to Luke that we keep our underwear clean by going pee in the potty, and to recap she asked Luke "how do we keep your underwear clean?"  And Luke, who is too smart for his own good replied "Washing Machine!"

Amit has entered hard core grad student mode this week.  After his meeting with his advisor on Wednesday, he has started writing his dissertation.  We only have about 4-5 months left before he defends and has to turn it in.  All the sudden this whole grad student thing has become very real.

Marinda got really sick Tuesday night and was bed ridden the next day.  Why we're recording this is because Marinda and Amit want to remember what amazing friends they have.  One friend came over and fed us lunch, another took Luke for a few hours that afternoon, and another took Luke swimming with them.  We also got dinner that night, to top off our amazing friends day.  Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help us out!

On the culinary side of things, Marinda made zucchini lasagna rolls from three more zucchini we got from our garden!  While walking back from the garden Marinda was actually stopped by a person walking by who wanted to know if there was a farmer's market near by because her zucchini looked so good!  How amazing is that?!  We also got two heads of broccoli and the tomatoes are growing right on schedule.  Go Us!
