This week we got in touch with our inner farmer! First off with a fun Family Housing Cowboy Day that involved, you guessed it, cow wrangling! Ok, maybe just the horse riding part - or really pony riding... In any case, Luke got to be a cowboy complete with Bandana and pony rides!

| Yeee HAAAWWWW!!! |
 |
| Going Solo! When did he get so independent! |
 |
| Well howdy, little lady. Need a ride? |
And what sort of self-respecting cowboy would Luke be if he couldn't recite some that there poetry! We should have gotten a video, but Luke can recite ALL of the classic epic "Each Peach Pear Plum." For those of you less cultured, it is actually pretty impressive for a kid Luke's age to know it all, but that kid has a memory like a trap!

Next on our farming theme, we've actually produced produce from our garden plot! Luke was so excited to help Marinda carry them home!
 |
Behold our bounty! We're practically living off the grid now.
But in all seriousness, look at the size of those things! |
We also had an exciting visit from some long lost friends! The Jankin's are back for a few weeks and we got to go check out some of our old stomping grounds like the zoo! Luke had fun playing with Bennet and man does that little boy know how to ride his strider bike! We also got a guest lesson from Summer at Zumba, and just in general were ecstatic to have her bright shining self back in our lives for a bit.
Luke has also discovered the Temple Magazine we keep around the house, and is obsessed with looking at it. Obviously this has lead to him and Amit having many in depth conversations about the significance of Temples and eternal salvation and ..... or maybe just looking at the pictures because they're pretty. :P Hey! Baby steps!
 |
| I love to see the temple... |
We have one last announcement this week - that has nothing to do with Luke. Marinda FINISHED writing her novel!!!! Like, the last page where she got to write "The End." This is HUGE deal! We can't wait to see where it goes from here!
