More Water Slide PWEEZ!!!!

If he looks unhappy, it's only because he can't figure out a way to get the otter pop into his mouth fast enough.
This week was full of water!  Family Housing had two super fun water events.  On Monday they had some sprinklers running and otter pops!  Luke wasn't really into the sprinklers... something about getting water on his face that isn't really fun or something.  But he LOVED his otter pop - and of course the tricycle he found.
Yeah, it is squirting in my face.  Why is this fun again?
Here we go!  This is what I'm talking about!
The Friday event was a completely different story!  They had this water slide set up that was about two stories tall (ok, maybe more like 1.5) and the kids got to climb to the top and slide down.  The only problem with this is that once Luke got to the top he wasn't that interested in sliding down.  So Marinda, in her street clothes, climbed to the top and slide down with him.  It was so fun that as soon as we got the bottom the first thing Luke would say is "MOREMOREMOREMORE!!!!"  So Marinda would get in line and they would do it again.  After about five times Amit showed up (he was at home working) in his swim suit and was able to give Marinda a break.  It was such a fun activity!
If living in family housing didn't seem worth it before, this sealed the deal
Luke seems happy, but is Marinda screaming or laughing?
Notice Luke trying to get out ASAP so he can get back in line
Speaking of Luke, he is speaking soooooo much now!  Remember when we use to report every new word he said?  And then we were like "Wow!  He can say six word sentences!"  Yeah.  It is hard sometimes to remember that he is still a baby because we can have conversations with him now and he is so good at expressing himself.  Like when Marinda did yoga Friday and Luke decided he wanted to to yoga too.  So Marinda got Amit's mat and put it next to hers.  He was into it for like 30 seconds, but it was still pretty cute.

Yesterday was a busy day.  First, Marinda and Luke went to help Amit clean the church.  Marinda was worried because only two of the people who were assigned to help had confirmed that they were going to go, and she didn't want Amit stuck cleaning the whole church again.  But once they got there someone had already been there and done a lot of the vacuuming!  Angels anyone?  It turned out to be a good thing because Marinda was silly for thinking she would be any real help, as after one room she was worn out and had to sit the rest of the time.  Luke was great though pushing around the little sweeper broom and saying "We're cleaning the church!" with a big smile on his face.

Later that day while Amit was at school working, Marinda and Luke went to their garden to pull weeds.  I guess Marinda did a really good job preparing the soil, but our weeds were just as big and healthy as the good plants!  Luke loved helping dig in the dirt, and then later discovered that he could put piles of dirt onto zucchini plant leaves.  I hear that is really good for photosynthesis.

Be impressed, that entire area was full of weeds before Marinda attacked it!
Here is our garden!  From the wood to the tomato plant to the left on this side of the rectangle.
We're totally ready to be self-sufficient now!
A Gardening!  So Plant Can Grow!

Well, have a great week everyone!  Enjoy the last week of July!

Luke's latest photography endeavors!
He calls this one "My Hand" *cue dramatic music*
