Ben and Jacque's WEDDING!

This week we are here to tell you the exciting story of BEN AND JACQUE'S WEDDING!

The adventure begins with Luke and Marinda hoping on a plane on Wednesday, leaving behind their strength and protector to arrive two days later.  It was only two days, how hard could it be to watch Luke on her own.  *sigh*  Will she ever learn?

The moral of the story is that she survived, with a lot of help from her Mom.  It was a great time getting ready, running around, making cute little decorations for the wedding lunch, and just in general having a party at the hotel.  On the night before we even did a masscive run to Sub Zero (an ice cream shop where they make it using liquid nitrogen) and brought everyone back ice cream!

The wedding was perfect, as they always are in the temple, and we all gathered around for family pictures in the light (read freezing) snow drifting down outside.  Then it was off to the Thai resturant that Jacqi and Ben had their first date for the wedding lunch, then that night was that party of the centery!  It was extra fun because all of Ben's ballroom friends were there doing all sorts of fun professional spontanious dancing.

Welcome to the family Jacque!

Marinda and her mom went to Jared's to get Jacque a gift, and this place was super prepared for little kids!
It had it's own play area in the corner!
Then it was lunch at this sub shop that was firefighter themed!
Luke was more thrilled than this picture was showing.

Now to talk a little about the other AMAZING event that happened this weekend - the Super Bowl!

The weeks leading up to this event have been very eye opening to Marinda.  "I finally understand sports," she said about witnessing the drastic change in her home city.  "It's something that can pull strangers together, something that actually unites a city and region."  We saw graffiti on trucks on "12" (the official not symbol of the Seahawks), jerseys everywhere, the sky scrappers lit up blue and green, flags on the top of every building.  What really was the kicker though was while Amit was going through security at the Seattle airport people were getting away with things that would normally get them shot.  Like people in line randomly shouting out "seaHAWKS!" and everyone cheering back - in the security line!

And how did it turn out.  Well, we're kind of amazing and WON!!!  Woo!  Go Seahawks!!!

And during the game Luke and Marinda watched "The Puppy Bowl" - Luke was way more into it than the real game!
