Luke's curiosity in everything around him just keeps growing. He keeps going around saying "Whassat?" and "Whassis?" and pointing at things. He also is good at recognizing sounds and will stop eating and point outside whenever he hears a truck go by or stop playing to look for the airplane if he hears one flying overhead. Both of these have turned into fun little games to play with him!
Luke is also learning all about sharing. He especially loves feeding us at the dinner table. He'll reach out a piece of food to us waiting for us to gobble it up. I mean, why not? We do it to him all the time!
He had fun playing with a jumprope Marinda had put in his toy box. He had a fun game one night where he would drag it behind him and run in circles around Marinda, tying her up like she was his prisoner! Don't worry, he let her go in the end when it was bedtime, but it sure was fun to see him laughing so hard at how clever he was!
Marinda is super-excited about the flowers she bought! They definitely bring some much needed color to gloomy Seattle winter days. Definitely a must for anyone who hates the everlasting gray.
We feel like Luke has shot up a few inches over the past week. All of a sudden he not only can reach the kitchen table, but now he's practically at eye level with the table top. He's even starting to reach for things on the stove. Scary! What happened to our little baby who just sat in his chair staring off in to space? Oh well, this Luke is way more fun!

Those flowers are beautiful! Can you come to my house next week and plant some?
ReplyDeleteLuke is darling! We missed him (and you, of course) today at church - I hope he's feeling better!
Do you want to do a date up to Sky Nursery? That's where I got my flowers from - plus they have a great little cafe in the giant green house and pretty good hot chocolate in my book. :)
