Luke loved playing a new game with his stuffed kitty cat and his ball. Amit would place the cat on the ball and say "I hope I don't fall over!" in a high pitched voice, and when it fell down he'd say "noooo!" and Luke would laugh hysterically every time! Even after doing it 10 times! It's great how he loves doing the same things over and over again now.
Luke's new word for the week is 'hat'. We were getting ready to go outside and he needed his hat. When we put it on him, he said 'hat' very clearly.
One word Luke is consistently saying is 'daddy'. One day while Marinda and Luke were playing in the nursery Luke looked at Amit's mini conference poster on his wall (which has Amit's picture on it), pointed to it, and said 'Daddy!' Good job Luke!
Luke is also learning to be very helpful around the house. Now we can tell him to go to his high chair because it's time to eat and he'll run over and wait for us to lift him up in to it. Marinda can all so say "go sit down" and he'll go sit on his chair (the sewing box) at his table (the coffee table) for snack time!
He also is learning about doing laundry. Last night he decided it would be fun to take all his dirty clothes out of his laundry basket. Amit asked him to put the clothes back in, and Luke would squat down, pick up one piece of clothing, and throw it in. He'd then look at us as we cheered him on, and then start all over again!
Luke is also working on his stand up comedy routine. His act begins with his and his open water bottle. He then takes his sock and drapes it across the top. After building up all this suspense, he then climaxs to taking a drink from the water bottle, but all he gets is a mouthful of sock! Hahhahhhhahahaaa! It is SO funny that Luke repeats this joke over and over for 15 minutes straight, laughing his head off each time he bites the sock.
Friday night Marinda saw the new Hunger Games movie with some friends on a girl's night out. The movie was awesome, but the most amazing part was what people snuck in. Marinda was pretty daring and brought some Milk Duds, but one girl brought a bag full of homemade cookies, and another brought an already popped bag of popcorn. But the real winner was a gallon size bag of Halloween Chocolate! Let's just say that there wasn't very much hunger during the Hunger Games.
Saturday morning Amit played in the ward's Turkey Bowl. He had a blast and even caught a pass for a touchdown! Go Amit! We're expecting a call from the Seahawks any day now.
