Every week we, like most parents of young children, get a mountain of stuff sent home. Some of it is useful stuff that we need, some of it we can recycle or throw out right away. The majority, however, falls into the wonderful and at the same time infuriating category of art projects and coloring pages. We love that the kids are doing these things (and that we don't have to worry about organizing crafts and stuff ourselves) but we never know what to do with it. So Amit has been diligently taking pictures of things are they come in, and then we'll throw stuff in boxes, hang up the kids' favorites, and recycle the rest. Since this was a pretty boring week, we decided to share some of the artwork with you! These aren't all from this week, but since we haven't posted these we thought you all might enjoy them!
Luke drew these because he saw them in a church music video we watched. He copied it straight from the video!

Random stories:
•We attempted a zoo visit on Saturday. Luke was intent on pushing the stroller and going through every single puddle possible. We ended up leaving after only one hour because Luke didn't want to stay and Jacy wasn't feeling good. But there were some good memories, like these pictures!
•Pretty much every night this week, Jacy has gotten up at some point, squinted her eyes, put her hands up like claws and said "I'm a dragon!" She then walks around her chair pretending to be a dragon and sits back down
•Luke has a lot of energy...especially at 7 in the morning! One day on the walk to the bus stop, he was literally running circles around Amit. And when we say literally, we literally mean 'literally'. It's kind of dark, but hopefully you can see some of what's going on
•Jacy has been really into playing with her baby dolls and playing with the baby doll crib. She has some..unconventional ideas about how cribs are supposed to work. Amit has seen her sitting in this crib she barely can fit in, and one day she was using it like a turtle shell! We got the picture too late, as she was already standing up. When we asked her what she was doing she said "just hiding!"
•Jacy is really fun to watch and listen to while she's playing, and also not old enough to realize that you're trying to record playtime so they run away like some kids (cough, cough, Luke).
•Marinda is still sick, but has more good days than she did last week. We even went out to dinner to Red Robin on Thursday! Water is still not her friend, so she got three IV infusions last week. She's been drinking sprite floats and has been eating burritos like a madwoman. Lastly, she is looking forward to the day she can go to pregnancy yoga and drink kale smoothies like a normal Pacific Northwest pregnant lady!
