Spring is finally here! It hit 70 for the first time since last summer! We've had one of the wettest, coldest winters on record here so it was nice to be able to go outside, enjoy the sunshine, and not get (too) muddy. Luke had a great time riding his bike around the park, with only a few crashes! He even had one bad crash where he was crying afterwards. We were worried he wouldn't want to ride his bike anymore, but when we suggested going home he looked at us like we were crazy and hopped back on! Meanwhile, Jacy rode her bike for about 10 seconds. We're trying, we really are :) We don't have a video of Luke because he was just going so fast, but we managed to get one of Jacy.
We celebrated May 4th this year in true geek tradition of having a movie night watching "A New Hope" and putting the kids to bed super late. But hey, passing on important family knowledge and traditions is worth it.
On Friday Luke had a sleepover with one of his best friends Liam. Apparently they stayed up after 10, had pizza, ice cream sundaes, played UNO and then donuts for breakfast! Apparently they are already planning Sleep Over 2 - Attack of the Five Year Olds!
Luke stories:
•Luke loves singing, though sometimes (okay, most of the time) his songs are super silly. This one seemed to be about someone who either ate or didn't eat certain things, and maybe did some stuff...and died.
Jacy stories:
• Jacy fell asleep on the way home from church - or did she? She put on her sunglasses and was very quiet and very still when we got home. And when we asked "Jacy, are you asleep?" at first she didn't say anything. Then after half a minute, she got a sly smile on her face like she knew she was playing a trick on us.

| Proof that some sleeping actually happened! |

| Writing prompt: Aliens invade and the Men in Black erase everyone's memories but there's a toddler that was wearing sunglasses and remembers everything. |
•Jacy went on the zipline all by herself for the first time!
•Jacy was super-excited to watch an episode of Daniel Tiger that had his baby sister Margaret.
•I guess Jacy was tired considering she pretended to sleep on our front bench.
Luke and Jacy stories:
•Somehow we ended up with a dinosaur and a rhinoceros as children. Jacy loves shouting "dinosaur!" and saying "rawr!" and Luke is ALWAYS saying he's a baby rhino.
