Tulips, Easter Bunnies and Kissing a Chicken

Happy Easter everyone! We had a great week with Grandpa and Grandma, or as Jacy calls them, Grampa and Grampa :P

This morning the kids got their Easter presents from the Easter bunny! We told Luke that the Easter bunny comes during the night, because Jesus was resurrected between sunset and sunrise the next day. That meant he couldn't come out of his bed during the night because he might scare away the Easter bunny. The great thing is that it worked! He stayed in his bed until his traffic light turned green and he could come out! The kids loved all of their Easter presents from the "Easter bunny." Jacy really liked the princess and the temple book, and was really upset with us when we took the temple book to church but not the princess! She also had a great time using the egg stamps! Luke loves his new Star Wars book the best so far, but he also was acting a little out of it because he claims he's still sick (more on that later). But the important thing is, he was super happy about Easter!

A PRINCESS!!!!
A Lightsaber Toothbrush!  Use the Force!
Not it's not a video. Jacy's flower on her dress just looks like a play button
And the real pictures... :P
Our pretty princess in her new Easter dress!
Jacy enjoying the stamps
Easter Egg Hunt!
Ok, Look at Jacy in these pictures.  It's just hilarious!
ROAR!  MINE!
Actually, I'm going to do a dance!  Because my brother is crazy and I'm so eggcited!
On Friday we made our annual pilgrimage to the Tulip Festival! The weather ended up cooperating and we had a rain-free morning! Jacy had a great time smelling flowers and did as well as a 2 year old possibly could at not being too rough with the flowers. Luke was really excited to get close to the tractors.

We were hungry so we decided to have a Jacy sandwich!
One of many pictures of Jacy "smelling" the flowers

It looks like Luke was getting up close to see the flowers. In reality, he melted with his back to the camera, and just happened to end up near some flowers

They have a little house with real windows now!

Luke's always happy when he's climbing on mommy!

We got three pictures taken. This is the only one where you can see even part of Luke's face

A trip to the Tulip Festival wouldn't be complete without a stop at Snow Goose produce afterwards for giant ice cream scoops! This year we even let Jacy get her own scoop!

Two year old's dream come true!
Jacy and Grandpa!
Luke with an ice cream cone as big as his face! And yes, that's a kid's scoop.
Luke stories:
•Luke was sick this week :( He woke up in the middle of the night with a fever. Thankfully he started feeling better the next day but now any time he doesn't want to do something, like brush his teeth, go to church, say a prayer, he just says "I'm still feeling a little sick"
•All of our Star Wars fans should be super proud of Luke - he has been playing with a Lego AT-AT walker and snowspeeder for the past few days and having the snowspeeder knocking down the walker with a tow cable, just like in his favorite Lego Star Wars level.

Jacy stories:
•When Luke was sick Jacy wanted to be all wrapped in a blanket on the couch too!
"I'm sick too! I want to watch movies too!"
•On Thursday Luke and Jacy went to hang out at Liam and Darcy's grandparents' farm! They had a great time (Luke was even able to not be sick for a while!) Jacy made a friend with a chicken! Jacy just stuck her nose in all sorts of stuff this week!
We know Jacy loves the taste of chicken, but we didn't think it would affect her taste in boyfriends
•We cut Jacy's fingernails, and afterwards she was mesmerized by the nail clippers. Apparently they make a great eye mask!

•Other cute Jacy pictures!

The Great Artist doing these amazing little details...
And every time she drew one she would throw her arms up in the air like she just won something!
Go Jacy!
Luke and Jacy stories:
•Luke and Jacy did Star Wars yoga for Grandma - with lightsabers!
