90% for Cheeks

Jacy's six month appointment was this week!  She is 16 pounds 6 ounces and 26 inches long!  Our pediatrician said that she is also in the 90% for cheeks.   I mean, look at those things!  We joke that you really have to earn her smile because it takes so much effort for her to lift them!  She also got her six months shots, which are one oral (that she spits out) and FOUR shots.  Marinda always forgets how big those needles are and that they stick them in, like, an inch!  She was not happy and the nurse kept commenting on how strong her legs were (where babies get their shots if you don't know).  By the forth one Jacy wasn't even yelling, her face was just red and she was so tense from crying that she just shook in my arms.  Don't worry, she was fine in about five minutes, but man!

"Have you seen this duck? It squirts water!?!?! This. Changes. Everything."
"Please don't post this on the blog mom. Please, please, please, please, please!"
"Mom! Stop taking pictures of me! I'm BUSY!"
We started this week by visiting Daddy at work for lunch!  Luke loves these visits and instead of jumping off the walls he was just driving his firetruck tow truck all over the place.  It really does help him feel better about Amit going to work since he can visualize where Amit is going in his head now.

Preschool is still going well.  Luke doesn't have any problems leaving for school anymore and Marinda has to remind him to give her a kiss good-bye.  Marinda is also making friends with eight or so indian moms that she see regularly while waiting for school to start and end, so she is liking that.  It also is re-inspiring her to learn hindi.  :P  We had Luke's schools open house on Friday and had a fun time exploring his classroom with him.  We then all went upstairs for ice cream, and Luke had fun running around like a wild child with the other wild children, while Jacy was gushed over by this one little boy in Luke's class.  It was so funny, he kept telling Amit to make her dance or bring her down closer to him!

Luke Stories:
- Luke and Jacy woke up from their naps at the same time one day this week.  Jacy was crying in her room when Luke came out and Luke said to Marinda "I think Jacy is crying because she needs her big brother."  *aaawwwwwwww!!!!!*
- Marinda wanted to take the kids to a new park that was .25 miles away, so she thought she would just walk.  Usually she would just shove Jacy in the carrier and Luke in the stroller, but this time Luke wanted to ride his scooter!  So he rode his scooter the whole .25 miles there and .25 miles back and even played in-between.  Yay for large motor skills!

Luke all swaddled up!

Jacy Stores:
- SHE CUT A TOOTH!  Now we know why she wasn't sleeping well last week!  It is the bottom left one in the front and man that thing is sharp!
- She has officially figured out how to roll from her front to her back consistently.  The results of this new discovery?  She is now mobile and we keep finding her in weird places far from where we left her (like banging her head into the table legs and such.)

Look at her, all ready to start crawling!
Awwwwwww
