Amit's conference went great. He presented a poster and received positive feedback from a lot of people. He also got to experience D.C. being frozen over during the polar vortex of doom. It was so cold, the Potomac froze over. It was so cold, Amit's eyes burned from the wind one night. It was so cold...you get the picture.
By the way, Amit is a very loved daddy. When he left for the airport, Luke had to be taken away. He then managed to free himself and ran towards the garage door because he knew daddy left from there. After that the only thing that could calm him down was train videos off of youtube. But of course four days later when Amit came home Luke acted like he didn't recognize him, so there's that too.
To cap off our time in Cleveland, we made the best snowman ever. No, seriously, it was amazing snow for snowman building. The temperature was near freezing so the snow was slightly melting and therefore very easy to pack. We literally were rolling sheets of snow off of the ground. It was like putting down turf, but in reverse and with snow. The snowman was probably about five feet tall eventually, and the only reason it wasn't bigger was because there came a point where we couldn't move the giant snowballs - we seriously had to chop of snow to make the middle part smaller because we couldn't lift it between the two of us!
On other AMAZING notes - Luke has finally after 19 months said "Mommy!" Yes, what most people say is their baby's first word is Luke is just saying now. He just wanted to make sure he could pronounce it right before trying. :)
It had been a fun trip, but the three of us were very happy to be home. And one little bunny was VERY happy to see his family!

People would call the house wanting to talk to Luke, but all he wanted to do was push the buttons! A few times when telemarketers would call she would give him the phone... :P

One of Luke's favorite games was pushing this exercise ball up the stairs and watching it roll back down. He'd do it about 20 times before getting tired - it was awesome!

Luke's other favorite game was climbing up and down the stairs non-stop until his parents were exhausted just looking at him.
