A Snow Plow for Amit's Birthday!

We've had a great time hanging out in snowy Cleveland this week. Luke was mesmerized looking outside at the snow, so we decided to see how he would like being out in it. His first snow experience went alright. The snow was very deep, nearly up to his waist, so he had a tough time getting around. It didn't help that his snow gear is a tad bulky on him so when he fell he had a comically hard time getting up. The best part of being outside had to have been when the snow plow came and cleaned the driveway and the street. Luke sat in awe the entire time. Other than that, he really liked it when Amit threw snow up in the air and he was able to watch it fall back down.

Luke all ready to go out in the snow
We don't remember what Amit did to make Luke laugh, but it must have been good.
Or is Luke crying? It's tough to tell.

See? He's having lots of fun.

Luke has been spoiled and adored by his jejema and jejebapa. He's been riding his tricycle around the house by scooting forward with his feet (he can't quite reach the pedals). He also really likes being lifeted up when he's on his trike. Or in a laundry basket. Or really anything that helps him feel like an Indian prince being carried by his nameless servants. Thankfully sometimes our prince decides to slum it and help clean the house too. He loves vacuuming, and apparently lawn-mowing too!

Luke looks he's in a musical about vacuuming...and loving it!
"Okay dad, I'm ready to clean some snow!"

What a cute little poof ball getting ready to go outside!
Look how deep that snow is!
No wonder Luke looks concerned.
Only Marinda knows what she's doing to Luke in this picture

Later in the week we took Luke sledding for the first time in his life. It was also the first time Amit's mom had ever gone sledding too. Luke didn't seem to have too much fun, but he also didn't complain at all despite the cold.
Something tells me Luke wasn't crazy about sledding
Who says there are no hills in Cleveland?
Luke was so out of it, but we had fun at least!
Amit's mom even went sledding - for the first time ever!
What a cute Jejema and Luku picture!
Luke at the restaurant later that day, and much, much happier
This week was Amit's birthday! It was also the day he had to leave for an astronomy conference in Washington D.C. but before he left we celebrated Cleveland-style. Amit's parents got him an ice-cream cake, which was a great surprise for Amit because he loves ice-cream cake. We all took turns feeding him, and Luke even had a bite or two of it.

Before Amit left for the airport we celebrated his birthday!
So then Amit's parent's wanted all of us to feed Amit!
One of those cool Indian things Marinda is having fun with
