Nuclear Explosion of Spit-Up!

Hi-yas!  The biggest new this week has to be a certain spit-up episode we experienced.  Why was it noteworthy?  Because his spit-up literally looked like a mushroom cloud as it came out.  It was more than a little epic that we survived it.

Marinda started teaching harp lessons again this week, which means summer is officially over for her.  She has a pretty full schedule - 11 student and 9.25 hours/week.  "It wasn't too bad," Marinda said, "I was really tired after teaching four lessons on Friday, but I like being able to see Luke between lessons."  While she's teaching Amit is attempting to work from home and watch Luke, with mixed results.  "He's doing okay," Luke said.  "His coding is a little sloppy when he's watching me though.  And his plots lack the 'pop' they need to attract audiences.  But he sings a really fun song when he changes my diaper!"

Marinda's Best Student!
This week was also fun because our friends Danny and Julene came over with their Nintendo 64 - and there was much Mario Kart-ness.  "It was crazy!  I remember as a kid thinking that the graphics were amazing!"  Amit lamented,  "And now we have no idea what we're looking at because the pixels are soooo big."  They also brought s'mores over...  life is good.  Marinda is now attempting to play through Zelda, and Amit is wondering how long it is going to take her to finish the first level...

Mario Kart Party!
Your father's N64 controller... an elegant weapon, for a more civilized age.
As in an age where we shot shells at each other while racing in cars half our size.
Yesterday (Saturday) was a day of firsts for Luke - his first service project in the morning, and his first football game that night.  The service project was a neighborhood cleanup.  Luke mainly supervised, as he couldn't actually pick up any garbage on his own.  That night we went to a BBQ for the BYU-Utah game.  Luke got all dressed up in his BYU outfit, which he promptly peed and spat up all over before the game actually started.  Coincidence or a truly bad omen for BYU?  Judging by the final score, Luke had pretty good idea of what was going to happen.

Marinda's Mom said to represent U of U well - so she hid behind
the cute baby in the BYU outfit with the wanna-be cougar!
In other news, Amit's paper is one step closer to being published!  He sent out the draft to his co-authors, who probably won't have too many major comments.  Then by the end of the month the paper should be submitted, and maybe published in a journal by the end of the year.

And now for some random cute pictures and videos of Luke.
