I see England, I see France, I see...

Luke and Daddy at Bear Lake at the "Cabin"
We're at Bear Lake this week doing Bear Lake-type things.  Like...well not much yet since we just got here but there will be shenanigans on the water soon.

This week has really been mostly about getting back to Seattle and getting ready to go back on the road.  We left Cleveland Monday morning and had about 3 and a half days in Seattle.  The highlight of our time in Seattle is that Luke finally started interacting with toys!  He really loves his Luv U Zoo, where he can lie down and play with a mobile with music and flashing lights.  He even started hitting and grabbing some of the things on his mobile!

On Friday we started our road trip.  Our first stop - Stonehenge!  Or to be more exact, the Stonehenge replica in Maryhill, WA.  We went there, it was cool, and Luke was hungry so we didn't spend a ton of time there.  Interesting side note: on our way there we realized we actually had directions to the Maryhill Museum of Art instead of Stonehenge.  It's a really nice museum with a bunch of Rodin pieces.  But we didn't have time for that, so we just used the nice bathrooms.

We drove until Saturday night.  Fun fact - most of eastern Washington, Oregon and all of Idaho is pretty much empty.  Especially after Boise.  We tried stopping for lunch at a town called Glenn's Ferry. "I figured, it says there's gas and food at the exit, what could possibly go wrong?"  It turned out the exit was really just for a farm town with less people than went to Amit's high school.  One highlight of the drive was Twin Falls.  "It had a Best Buy and Old Navy," Marinda said.  "It's pretty legit."  Amit was excited, because as some readers might know, Amit's dream is to live out in the middle of nowhere, far away from civilization (but close enough to get internet and Amazon prime-eligible delivery).  However, most towns like that are actually a little ghetto or too hickish, which makes Twin Falls almost perfect.  "It was pretty much just like Strongsville.  Random nice stores in an area that use to be just farms."

Luke being really excited about our car trip!

"I am not amused"
We also had the privilege of driving through Paris (in Idaho).  So we went to Stonehenge, and then drove through Paris so we had a nice little European vacation.

The real highlight of the week was getting to see everyone though.  For the first time in who knows long the whole Mitchell clan was together.  Yay family!
