Have we mentioned lately how perfect Luke is? Yesterday Amit was watching Luke while Marinda was...doing morning meditation...definitely not sleeping in...and Amit wanted/needed to do scripture study. So he got his scriptures and said "Okay, Luke. Daddy's going to read his scriptures now." And guess what Luke did? He got his Board Book of Mormon and sat down next to him and started reading! Granted, he only 'read' for a minute, but he made the connection.
Luke also has settled into a new morning routine. After breakfast, going to the bathroom and getting dressed, he and daddy go into the bedroom to wake up mommy. Luke points to the lamp and says "On! On!" Amit gently reminds him to say please, and Luke responds by saying "Pleeeeease!" and doing a very exaggerated baby sign for please. He then goes to the bed and says "Up!" and "Car!" When he's up on the bed he picks one of his two car books to read with mommy. Once he's done reading, he starts jumping up and down on the bed! Well, maybe not so much jumping, but rolling and bouncing and being a crazy boy with the covers. He covers himself with all the pillows on the couch and hides until one of us peeks in at him.
Okay - quick caveat. In case anybody is wondering why Marinda gets to sleep so much, she has been super-sleepy for the past few months and we (and the doctors) don't know why.
FYI, Amit's paper is now 11th most read over the past 12 months for the journal Astrobiology. Over the past month, his paper is #3. Go Amit! And if you google his name, he actually shows up on the first page now! He's number 7, behind the cricket player and the guy at Los Alamos.

| Where's Luke?!?!? |

| There he is! |

While Amit is scorring the charts with his great intellect and wisdom (not to mention pretty graphs and figures!) Marinda has had some accomplishments of her own. First, she got together with some friends for their own little writing group and, get this, actually made some progress on her novel! What novel? Exactly - that's how long it has been since she has worked on it, but now that she has some accountibilty hopefully you'll see it gracing the nearest book stores sometime in the next decade or so.
Marinda also made an AMAZING dinner Friday night. It was a mushroom cream sauce over pasta using
this recipe and it was good! She used normal mushrooms instead of the portobellos and penne pasta instead of the tortollini but you wouldn't be able to tell it was anything less than perfection from the way the three of us scarfed it down. A+ Mommy!
Marinda and Amit went on a date this Friday. To where, you might ask? To the TEMPLE! Yup, these slackers finally got themselves into gear and did a session followed by frozen yougurt at Menchies. Did you know there is one only five minites from the temple? And in our opinion it is better than the one in U-Villiage... Just saying. Oh, and Key Lime Pi with strawberry boba balls is
amazing!
