Luke's Grandma's Wedding!

We are reporting to you live from Strongsville, Ohio where Luke was invited to lawyer celebrate Seema Nani's wedding!  Well, Nani really means "older sister," and Seema is technically Luke's grandma-ish.  You see, she's Luke's cousin twice removed - meaning she is Luke's grandma's cousin.  She's still in her early 30s, but in India crazy extended family terms she is Luke's grandma.  :)

We left on Saturday, and let's just say it was really nice flying Southwest and getting four suitcases.  Luke did a great job on the plane, though we now know that when traveling with toddlers (which Luke practically is) bring food that he WANTS to eat!  Not mashed peas!  The quesadilla we got him for dinner went over better - and by went over we mean in his mouth and every other exposed surface of skin.

The next day was full of Luke being smothered in love by his Jejebapa and Tina Nani!  We really were worried that Tina (Amit's cousin) was going to actually eat him him!  Luke can melt anyone's heart, but we think he lays it on a little thick for female relatives.

The wedding was positivly beautiful and Seema was stunning!  It was our first time attending a Byzantine Catholic wedding, and the service was beautiful.  The preist gave a wonderful sermon explaining the passages about wives being submissive in the sense that they are give their lives to their husbands (not letting them make all their decisions for them) and for husbands to view their wives and love and charish them like they would their own body and life.  Marinda particually loved the explainantion about the crowns and how they should view their marriage as the crowning aspect of their lives.

While the service was beautiful, Luke seemed to be a bit confused as to what denomination it was for.  We had strong suspiions that he thought we were in a southern baptist church - because he kept wanting to shout out for joy and jump on his feet and laugh.  It is the hardest thing when they are being loud but aren't crying.  When their crying you just need to comfort them and they'll be quite - when they are happy and loud there is nothing you can do.  We tried shoving cheerios in his mouth (if it is full he can't talk, right?) but finally at the end we showed him some mercy and took him out.

The reception was a great time and we got to meet some other realitives (Amit's Mom's Aunt's Cousin just to name one) and Luke got to dance with his second cousin once removed (Seema's nephew) who is only a year or so older than Luke.  It was really cute and we loved it!  Next week is Seema's wedding part 2 Indian style in Teronto!

Look at that cute face!  How could he ever do anything wrong!
(note the cheerio being shoved at him)

So Marinda wants to show off her newest pretty stuff!

Marinda's brother Ben asked if she could make something cool
out of one of his favoriet poems.  It was meant to be
inspiring and we think she nailed it.

To make the cool outlined guy for Ben's poem,
Marinda tweeked one of her hw assignments for
her computational photography class that will outline
the edges of any photo for you.  She decided to have some fun with it.  :)
