This week we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. We drove up on Tuesday and went to 'Tulip Town.' We have lots of pictures for you to enjoy, including some of Luke trying to eat the tulips! Afterwards we went to Snow Goose Produce to get some ice cream. It's a Misra family tradition - every time we're up north of Seattle, we stop by Snow Goose and get a cone. The serving sizes are huge! Look at that cone we got for Luke. Okay, so maybe we didn't give it to him. But he did start crying as soon as he realized the ice cream was just there for a photo op.
Marinda had a good experience at the temple yesterday. It was the first time she had gone for an Endowment session in a year or so. "It felt really good to be there," Marinda said. "It's so nice to feel the spirit."
Luke has been doing great. This past week he's started bouncing up and down when he's standing, almost like he's doing half-squats over and over. We're not sure what he's trying to do, but we like to pretend that he's dancing.
Luke is now also to stand up near vertical surfaces. The lower half of our refrigerator door is now bare because of Luke. He's not standing on his own yet, but no doubt that's coming soon...our apartment is so not ready for him to be a toddler.
In case anyone is wondering what Luke's eating and sleeping schedule is like, here's a pretty standard day:
7:00 Wake up Daddy
7:30 Try to sneak into Durandal's cage
8:00 Breakfast (one scrambled egg, 1/4-1/3 cup oatmeal with fruits)
8:30 Jump on Mommy
9:00 Morning Nap
9:15 Pretend to be asleep and climb out the window to get outside
10:15 Climb back into nursery
10:30 Wake up
11:13 Try to get to Mommy's harp
12:00 Lunch (1/2 avocado, 1/3 tomato, 1/4 slice bread)
12:25 Throw sippy cup and spoon on the ground to annoy Daddy
1:00 Afternoon Nap
1:10 Kick off pants
2:30 Wake up
2:56 Attempt to knock over space heater
3 or 4 Afternoon snack (small piece of cheese, berries, 1/4 slice bread with peanut butter)
4:30 Dance Party!
5:30 Dinner (whatever we're having, or sweet potato or other fruits or veggies)
6:00 Bath time
6:05 Climb out of bathtub and then cry that it's so cold out of the tub
6:30 Reading - singing - bedtime
5am - Wake up Mommy and Daddy to eat

| No dad, I'll take your water bottle and the ice cream. You can eat the butternut squash this time. Plus, I'm driving home, FYI. |
