The French Revolution on July 4th!

Happy Fourth of July!!!

This week very exciting because it was the first major holiday that Luke has now experienced twice!  We began the morning with a rousing flag raising ceremony, both at our house and at the church.  We then had a very delicious pancake breakfast.  Marinda had a nap that afternoon while Amit took Luke across the street to the playground, and then had a fun time splashing in the water in the sink.

That evening we had a great dinner with our friends the Garners, where we had a picnic on their patio and played a fun card game called "Guillotine."  Kind of funny to play a game about the French Revolution on July Fourth, but hey!  It all goes with the theme!

Color Guard, Advance!
Color Guard, Post the Colors!
Salut the Flag!
Proud to be an American...
Using his rights and freedoms to open his own little store,
chase after that American Dream!
AH!  Too Cute!
What?!?!  I'm eating here!
In other news, Marinda got her hair cut and highlighted and it looks FABULOUS!  Our moving plans are also underway with four apartment showings!  Several are already showing quite a bit of interest and packing is - um - happening?  Yeah, we'll go with that.  :)
