Zucchini Assassin!

Things are just accelerating for Luke!  He is totally into this whole movement thing - at least in a backwards direction.  We're still working on that whole moving forward thing, but sure does make for some great photos.  :)  We've also continued with this whole feeding thing, and he LOVED his zucchini  and we LOVE our highchair!  Feeding him is so much easier.

Marinda's clever way of teaching Luke his colors

Oh yeah, look at all that plastic!  We're justing hoping it is a while before Luke figures out how to throw...

What?  I totally got these legally.

Yay!  Stuff I can grab and am SUPPOSE to eat!

What a good little eater!

Yup.  You guessed it.  He scooted himself under his Love U' Zoo - and thought it was SO funny.
Mobile?  Yes.  Are we worried and stressed about it yet?  Um, no.

Luke also had his six month appointment this week!  And he is now weighing in at 17 pounds 5 ounces and is 2 feet 3 inches tall!  His other developments are great, and our doctor even gave him a book!  She stressed the importance of playing with him using books, not so much reading to him, but just building good, happy feelings towards books.  We told her that he loves books already!  I mean, they taste so good!

And this is the proper way to play with, well, everything!  EAT IT!
Marinda has also been quite busy being all sorts of crafty.  Her good friend Ashley was having her baby shower this week and Marinda was asked to make some stars for decorations.  She was already a pro from making a zillion stars for Luke's bedroom, so this was actually fun for her.  She also busted out her crochet hook and made a baby sleepingbag-thing.  Not sure what to call it, but you put the baby in it and then proceed to snuggle.

Pretty stars!  I looked cooler than our point-and-shoot could really capture.

Marinda and her beautiful soon-to-be-a-mommy friend Ashley

The sleeping bag thingy!  She even made some flowers and a butterfly.
Marinda also had a great accomplishment on the exsercise front.  Her playgroup has started a walking group branch off, and this week they went to Greenlake.  It is a great walk with lots of people around a lake in Seattle, but it is also 3 miles!  And Marinda did it!  Sure towards the end Luke was really tired of sitting in his carseat so he had to be held but Marinda was too tired so her 8.5 month pregnant friend got to carry him, but hey, who's making comparisons!

Amit was inspired by watching Steven play Assassin's Creed 3 over Christmas to give this whole game another shot.  He tried the first one a long time ago and decided it just wasn't as much fun as Civilization 4 - but since coming home he has repented of his ways.  "It's a great way to bond," Marinda said, "I LOVE watching him play, and I get to work on my crafts.  Because I am just so crafty now."

We at the Heb would also like to do a shout out to Marinda's Dad Chad Mitchell, who has his birthday today!  He is somewhere over the pacific right now on his way to Asia, but we would just like to say Happy Birthday and that we think he is an amazing father and grandpa.

Luke is a great help around the house.  Here he is helping out with the laundry.
What a big boy!
