Mommy's Little Stud!

Four week have just flown by for the Misras!  Not only is Luke growing so fast and learning all sorts of new skills, but Marinda has continued to heal just fine and Amit has become a pro at everything household related.  I mean, he was good before, but now there is no competition!

For a quick follow up on the Durandal situation, Amit and Marinda cleaned his cage and gave him a bath two more times, and Amit Boraxed the apartment.  In the process Marinda and Luke got to spend some good quality time with Aunt Julene (and Castle!) while Amit destroyed the broom (it wasn't a very good one to begin with) and finally killed off the $60 vacuum he got when he moved to Seattle.  You all know what that means... Target Trip!  We are now the proud owners of a new broom and a super fancy bag-less $130 vacuum that even has a button to wind up the cord!  "It is so cool!"  Amit said, "not only can I now see how much I've picked up, but it is in all these awesome swirling designs!"  Marinda also agreed that it was cool, but she is more impressed by how much borax the old vacuum didn't pick up.

If that wasn't exciting enough, Luke took a bottle this week!  Twice!  It took forever for Marinda to pump a few oz, but the fact that he took it is a great sign!  The first time Amit tried to feed him both of them ended up with milk all over them, but the second time we used these Breastflow bottles and he took it immediately and didn't have any problems.  WOOOO!!!!!!!

Luke also got some new friends at the Relief Society activity Tuesday night.  One of the mom's had brought her two little girls with her, and they were IN LOVE with Luke.  They worked on their craft and finished it, but all they wanted to do was play with "Little Luku."  Marinda loved it because it was built in babysitting so she could finish her banner, but she also loved watching these two girls gush over her son.  "If he has girls falling all over themselves for him now, what will it be like when he's sixteen!"

To top off such a great week, Amit and Marinda's friends Sommer and Raj watched Luke while they went on another exciting half hour date to U-Villiage for ice cream.  That's two weeks in a row!

Oh yeah, after four weeks we're basically pros at this whole parenting thing!

Luke's Grand Achievements this Week:
-He turned over!  Again!  This isn't just a fluke anymore, this is the forth time!
-He reached out his hand, looked at it, and watched it as he brought it in to his forehead.
-Daddy has a new game!  He'll move his face in closer to Luke, and Luke will smack it with his hand.
-Marinda heard Luke crying and went over to see what was wrong.  He had grabbed his hair and was pulling it!  But he had no idea that the hurting he was feeling was being caused by himself, so Marinda had to pry his hand open.  He's wearing mittens again so he doesn't pull out all that beautiful hair!
