This week we said goodbye to our beloved Honda Accord. Our first car was totaled after the accident a couple weeks ago, and it was finally towed away this week. Luke was really sad, and said he would miss the car a lot. Thankfully he was there when the tow truck came so at least he got to see that.
Otherwise this week was pretty relaxed. The kids have been playing with each other a lot, and considering they've gone from only spending a few hours together per day to spending almost all day together and being around each other all the time, they're playing reasonably well. Luke has been great about using words and not hitting Jacy (not that he ever really does) and Jacy...is working on using words.
As you might have guessed, Asher is not here quite yet. Marinda had more contractions on Tuesday and had a doctor's appointment on Friday. She is dilated to 4 cm and 80% effaced, and Asher has dropped. He is definitely ready to go! And Marinda is definitely ready for him to come out! At therapy on Thursday morning the first thing her therapist said was "Wow! He dropped!". We keep coming up with lists of things that we need to get done before Asher comes like "Oh, now that we picked a comforter Asher can be born" or "Now that we've replaced the bathroom faucet Asher can be born". Obviously nothing was worked...yet. Though as we're writing this entry Marinda is having more contractions about 10 minutes apart.
•Luke built all of his lego sets from his birthday within about 1 day, and he even found that one of his lego sets from Uncle Ben is the same as one of the ships from his Lego Star Wars video game!
•Jacy has been getting spoiled by Grandma and has been looking forward to Starbucks. One morning, she asked "where are we going today? Maybe...Starbucks?"
•Jacy went shopping with Mommy and Grandma this week and seemed to have fun hiding in the store!

The other big news this week is that Jacy is now pretty much potty trained! We've been working with her on this for a long time, but this week I guess everything clicked and she started going on the potty by herself. She's gone several days now without having a pee accident and just needs a pull up during nap time and bed time. We kept telling her she would be potty trained before Asher came, and now that she's potty trained that means Asher can be born, right?
Because Jacy is potty trained, we needed to replace our bathroom faucet. Before it was a twist handle that was hard for kids to use. So we needed something easy enough for Jacy to use. We went to Home Depot and grabbed a faucet, and naively came home. Amit planned on installing it that night, because, well, we had no idea what we were doing and if it would be hard or not. Amit spend a couple hours doing it that night, realized he had to replace the drain, not just the faucet, then realized we didn't have the tools we needed (like a big enough wrench), probably broke on of the supply lines in the process, and then couldn't fix the leaking part. The next morning, he woke up early and went to Home Depot right when it opened, got the new supply line, realized the drain tailpipe didn't fit right, went out to Fred Meyer to get another part, fixed everything and realized the part he needed was in the sink trap but not put in properly, and then everything was great!
