Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY GOSH ITS A DINOSAUR!

We hope everyone reading is having a wonderful day today.  We have had a fun and exciting week that will surely leave you at the edge of your seat...

Earlier this week in Cleveland Amit Misra, amateur puzzle-ateer, completed his most challenging work to date - the Puzz 3D Millenium Falcon.  After multiple days of grueling labor, the Falcon was completed just hours prior to bedtime the night before Amit and Marinda had to leave Cleveland.  "I had started the puzzle years ago," Amit said, "but I think I needed to be at the pinnacle of my puzzling career to finish this...masterpiece."  Indeed, if we at the Hebdomadal were to describe Amit, it would have to be...puzzling.

In Seattle news, we resume our coverage of the Adventures of Durandal the Bunny!  Durandal happily welcomed Amit and Marinda back into his home in Seattle and continues to explore his surrounding areas, daring to go where no bunny has gone before!  Durandal has currently visited all the normal carpeted areas in the apartment, but this past week he ventured into the kitchen (which is carpeted, but carpeted differently) in search of kale.  Where will he go next week?  What new walls will tumble?

In other animal-related news, the Woodland Park Zoo was invaded by Jurrasic Juggernauts, Triassic Terrors, Cretaceous Creatures and Holocene Hoodlums.  That's right - Amit and Marinda saw the Dinosaurs! exhibit at the zoo.  The exhibit starts with a wachama-saurus spitting water on you.  But the real tall glass of happiness was seeing the children.  Those Holocene Hoodlums were running all over the zoo and being adorable (Holocene=modern day).  So which part is a must see?  Local dinosaur "expert" Marinda Misra was most impressed with the baby dinosaurs coming out of their shells (literally, not figuratively).  "They're so cute!" she said, "Oh!  Look at his little head pop out of the shell!  Look at it!"  Astrobiologist Amit Misra, however, was most impressed with the life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex.  Needless to say, if you haven't seen the dinosaur exhibit, you better hurry!  The last day is tomorrow, Labor Day.

But the Dinosaurs weren't the only attraction at the zoo.  The real animals were just as exciting!  Normally when you go to the zoo, you have to practically bring a telescope to see the animals.  But this past weekend the animals were as lively as ever.  Foxes, snow leopards, bears - everyone seemed to be active in getting ready for the winter.  The bears even went swimming!  At the same time!  Not surprisingly, the little kids loved this.  We asked Thomas the Bear about this exciting day.  "Just doing my job," he said.  "You know, the magical food givers, or zookeepers as you call them, told all the animals to really be active this weekend.  Apparently its some holiday celebrating work?"  The other bear, Barry, was too busy doing the butterfly stroke to comment.

Unfortunately the zoo had a bit of a problem with animals getting out of their cages.  A viscous squirrel was found disrupting the lunch of a local couple, who wish not to be named out of shame.  The squirrel jumped onto their table and threatened them at gunpoint!  (details may or may not be exaggerated).  Luckily the husband stood up to the vile squirrel and scared it off, against the wishes of a rather loud, blue haired lady a few tables away yelling that the squirrel was "God's blessing."  Authorities gave no comment when asked about the investigation on this squirrel's crime's against humanity, or at least 2 humans.

In weather, we are seeing yet another example of wild and extreme weather, this time in the Pacific Northwest.  Temperatures over the weekend have exceeded 80 degrees.  Yeah, that's in FARHENHEIT!  All joking aside, we're glad we live in Seattle and our hearts go out to those suffering from true extreme weather like hurricanes and tropical storms.

We can't think of anything else to write.  Slight warning: now that we're back in Seattle our lives may not be quite as interesting.  But this blog will force us to do at least one interesting thing per week!
